Most Purchased Training Materials

While you were cheering on the Olympic athletes this summer, we quietly added our 1,000th product to Design Club! Out of all of those choices, your top three most popular products were (drumroll, please):

#1: COI for the win! 🥇

Our If it’s disclosed, it can be managed job aid was your favorite this year, and we can see why! This piece tells your peeps, at a glance, what conflicts of interest are, how they are not necessarily a problem, and how they can be managed.

#2: It’s a tie! 🥈

#3: It’s a four-way tie! 🥉

  • Practice Polite Politics (team meeting version) awareness piece. This was a doozy of a year no matter what side of the aisle you were on, and many of you took the opportunity to remind your employees that they can disagree about politics AND still work together.
  • When should I contact the Privacy Team? Kudos for being proactive and sharing this popular piece, which highlights situations when your folks should reach out to the privacy team.
  • Careful virtual communications. Showing your peeps what they should and shouldn’t do when communicating at work is always a winning strategy!
  • Last but not least, you loved Broadcat’s Gifts and Hospitality: What's OK? decision tree so your employees can easily tell which tokens (ha!) of appreciation are work-appro and which are off-limits.

Your Favorite Blog Posts

We published 27 (!!) blog posts in 2024; here are the five most popular.

#1 Four great ideas for your Compliance and Ethics week

Illustration of cat with four different ideas for ethics and compliance week.

We refreshed this oldie-but-goodie with TWO NEW activities to engage your peeps during E&C week … but we’re not gonna lie, we also laid out the pitfalls of hosting an E&C week in the first place. 🚧 If you used any of these ideas, tell us how it went!

#2: Your condensed version of the OIG’s compliance guidance

Illustration of many pages being condensed into one page.

Jennifer May read the entire 91-page Compliance Program Guidance from the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Human Services (say that five times fast) AND summarized it for you. You’re welcome!” 🙏 This is worth a re-read... Then grab the ONE-PAGE summary!

#3: Five Ways a Marketing Mindset Helps Your Compliance Communications

A person holding a paper with bullet points in one hand, a megaphone in the other. A speech bubble with a compliance shield is pointing to them.
Did you know that you're in marketing? Yes, you. This 4-minute read from Broadcat emeritus Aimee Blanchard lays out how you can boost the quality of your comms—and your program—by putting on your marketing hat. 🧢

#4: Is your training working? Key metrics to prove it.

Illustration of a cat standing near a finish line holding a trophy and a piece of paper with a chart on it, signifying that the metrics are good.
Jaycee shares actionable metrics to prove your training's real impact—beyond vanity metrics like training completion rates. 📈 Bonus: There’s a link to a step-by-step guide to demonstrating your program’s results.

#5: Comprehension Quizzes: The Participation Trophy of Compliance Training

Rounding out the top five is Jaycee’s take on the importance of using quizzes in your training, per the DOJ’s requirement. (Just kidding! 🙅). Read the post for creative alternatives like “knowledge checks” (aka the anti-quiz), which are included in each of Broadcat’s mini-modules

Why not grab a warm cup of cocoa, read the posts above, and then spend time with the
20+ other posts we published this year? You’ll gain a ton of insight into your compliance program that you can use to hit the ground running in 2025!
